I Can Hear...

At 7pm this evening I can hear the sounds of an Aussie summer. A local Salvation Army band is walking the hot humid streets, stopping here and there to play carols for all to enjoy.

I can hear the neighbourhood children playing road cricket on a quiet street.

Miss E likes to join in with the fun too.

I can also hear the garden hose now watering these purple petunias for today was another hot dry day and there are more yet to come this week.

This looks like so much fun. It sounds strange to us, carols in summertime, but it's the most normaL thing for you of course. I can imagine it though, even think I wouldn't have a problem adjusting to sunny christmasses with carols in short sleeves ;-)
Bye, enjoy this wonderful time,
Marian

Ha christmas in the sun. A great joy so to see. I wouldn't mind to have some sun also in the darkest period of the year. Still your pictures bring the atmosphere in your country perfectly over. Thank you for that.

Christmas at summer time reminds me of my childhood because I was born in Africa and lived there until I was 10. So many memories...
Loved your pics.
Have a wonderful day.

Miss E looks like she is having fun. What a great photo.. I am so glad it's not hot here. Even though it's cold I like it better than the hot desert heat.

Hugs~
