Weekend Snippets

A couple of the trees at church are now in bloom. I've missed church the last few weeks as I've been recovering from a virus. The seasonal changes in the plants are quite noticeable. Spring is only a few weeks away now.

Miss O was awarded an encouragement voucher from her hockey coach this Saturday. She wanted to share the experience with Miss V so the three of us had our first ever visit to Gloria Jean's. I must say the food looked better than it tasted, I think home cooking has spoilt us a little.

The outing itself was delightful, something we'd like to do again sometime.

A gentle walk around the neighbourhood in the pleasant warmth of the midday sun revealed some treasures. I've missed my walks, thankfully I'm feeling better each day.

The twins love their sport, thoroughly enjoying their hockey all winter as well as girl's rep. cricket. Summer is the main cricket season, they can hardly wait.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling a little better I hope you are back to your healthy self soon. A walk in the winter sun does make you feel good doesn't it. I totally agree about the home cooking versus the bought cakes, we are very spoilt here too:)

Najważniejsze, że czujesz się z dnia na dzień lepiej. Jeśli u Was są tak piękne kwiaty zimą, to wiosna będzie z pewnością bajeczna. Bardzo dobrze, że dzieci lubią sport. Pozdrawiam.
The most important thing that you feel from day to day better. If you you are so beautiful flowers in winter, spring will definitely be fabulous. It's good that children like sport. Yours.

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave your kind comment, thus leading me to yours. You have a lovely blog, and a beautiful family (home schooled, no less, which is vastly impressive to me, who home schooled an only child.)

I recognize some of the flowers you've photographed here - quite lovely. Iris, perhaps? And a gerber daisy, and maybe hibiscus?

Hoping you recover quickly from that virus that has kept you down these past weeks.

We are sad in our part of the great earth,,our summer is in it's last month and I so miss the spring. All the bird activity has come to a stop. Just a few local birds. Your flowers are beautiful and I so agree with the home cooking comment! Enjoy your spring beauty. I will enjoy your spring through your eye's.
Stay focused,

Glad to hear you are gradually feeling better - every single person I've known who has been I'll in the last few months has really been knocked around, Rod included. Lovely last pink flower capture. Yes, I've had a GJ experience myself and it appears similar to yours in the summing up department! Plastic is a word that came to mind....

I too have been quite sick and bed or couch ridden for all of last week (flu and a secondary chest infection). I have missed my time out with my camera too. I'm improving very slowly.
I do hope you are much better?
