Continual Beauty

Macro photo of two gerbera petal seeds

Elements of beauty surround each stage of life for those who have eyes to see.....

Black and white macro photo of a gerbera centre

As the first flush of flowers begin to drop their heavy heads in a carpet of soft seeds,  young faces play peek-a-boo around the base of stems and leaves with promises of continued beauty from my Mother's Day gerbera.

Boo!

These are BEAUTIFUL! The soft edges of the flower petals are amazing...the red flower with the black background? WOW I'm amazed at God's creation. We have lived here in Wisconsin for 20 years, but our backyard still holds treasures for me to find for the first time!

Hey, I want to let you know that I got that Raynox macro lens and tried it out today! It's awesome. Thanks for recommending it and answering my questions. :)

Divine shots Karen! I love the way you capture the smallest details that are so often missed. Isn't God amazing, the way he has created life & beauty all around us. It's so important to stop and take notice in the smallest and often "ordinary" things. There is so much beauty to be found if we just look a little deeper.

That first photo looks like the petals are courting each other. You have an amazing talent with macro. Amazing!!!

Just gorgeous!! You guys are lucky that even during winter you see blooms and greenery all around..:-) Each time I look at the plants and color on my little balcony, I try to to enjoy their presence and vibrancy. I do not even want to think that in a few months I will have to throw them all into the bins.

I love that you find beauty in everything nature offers. It is all truly beautiful! I will make a list of my favorite photos and see if they are all already on your red bubble shop because they may be. You are right about it being so dry here, lush gardens are just not something one sees much (you CAN achieve it with lots of hauled in dirt and manure and compost and lots of watering, but that just seems so wasteful) Instead, I am finding lots of beauty in the things that are very normal here. I think people's yard ornaments and yard art do reflect their need for color and beauty in the small ways they can be achieved in the desert, too.
