Weekend Delights

Double delights as our twins celebrated another birthday, each having made a birthday cake of their choosing.

"Little" brother always has some innovative ideas to try out, this was one of the safer ones.....

Our tree, assembled and decorated entirely by the children amongst much fun, song and dance - literally!
So different to years ago when my husband and I managed it over two nights while our multiple very young ones were asleep in bed. It was wonderful to see the excitement on their little faces the next morning. Now it's delightful to stand back and watch each one partake in this much anticipated activity.

There was the annual indecision and vote about which colour-way decorations to use, culminating in a part-way change of plans, ending in the choice of traditional red/green/gold for this year.

Another spectacular journey through a day in your lives.
It seems very early for a Xmas tree to us: we trim the tree on Xmas Eve.

The cakes looked delicious, and artfully decorated too I hasten to add.

I don't celebrate Christmas as am not a Christian, but, I have to say I do adore to see the lovely trees that others have in their homes.

Najlepsze życzenia urodzinowe dla bliźniaków, którzy swój dzień uczcili też w ogrodzie zimnymi ogniami. My choinkę świąteczną ubieramy przed samymi Świętami. Pozdrawiam

Better late then never. Congratiulations on the birthday of your twins. The decorating the christmas tree reminds me of the time when my children were younger. They were always very exited. Still it brings a lovely atmosphere in the house. When christmas is over and the decoration is gone it feels like something is missing in the house.

I have now been invited into your home after a lovely walk by beautiful waterways!

How a wonderful day. I appreciate your comments so very much; writing the blog about my mother has become a type of journaling that helps bring perspective both now and in the future.

Great shots of birthday celebrations & tree decoration. We still have the tree to put up.
Is that an icecream cake?? My oldest son always chose icecream cakes as he didn't like "normal" cake (he still doesn't)

One is a soy-ice cream cake (another child is allergic to dairy) and the other a regular chocolate cake. Each child chooses their own favourite cake.
